87 4x4 4speed o\d
Maybe you guys can help me out with a little info. I have an 87 f-150 4x4 302 with the 4 speed o\d. The gear ratio is 3.55. I want to know if there a decent five speed that I can swap in. The four speed works fine for just bummin around but it can be a real pain on the highway on hills with evan a little load. I might do a little towing with it so I dont want to give up any reliability. We have another 87 with the I6 with the HD 4 speed with thw low first gear and it works well but I would like to have the higher ratio for highway driving. thanks
