I lived in South Omaha during the early seventies. I was downwind of the six story cow dung piles. On a hot, humid summer day, I wasn't too happy.

oh, you lived down by the Stock Yards?!?! how cool is that? that entire area is a historic something or another now, and the cattle pen area is now a Metro Community College. The old 6 (?) story main building has been renovated and turned into apartments... its gorgeous, but in order to get approved to live in a $100K apartment is to have an annual income of <$19K. They want the garunteed govt money

Well Howdy, spent 18 months at Offutt AFB and made my home in Plattsmouth, as you know, just south of the base. Nice folks there and a herd of SNOW!

That story confirmed my suspicion that I am indeed living in one of the most unhappy States. I have been to Nebraska many times and have a niece living in Omaha, I can confirm that the people there are happy and friendly. I hope that it stays that way, and hope that FL will be happier soon.
