I have a 93 Dually with a 460. As I was driving uphill the other night the trans slipped out of gear. I downshifted to 2nd and nothing,then to 1st ,it caught for a second and then nothing. I now have no forward or reverse gears. The fluid level is good and doesn't seem to be burnt. Someone told me there is a pin in the secondary that sometimes snaps on this model trans. Has anyone else heard of this or what else might be the problem?

Theres an aluminum hub inside the trans that transmits the power to the geartrain. If it breaks you will lose everything just like yours did. The newer ones have a steel hub and don't have as much trouble as the old ones.
