'37 pickup and putting a 5.0L + 5 speed
Hi, has anyone done a mod like this? 302 H.O. with 5 speed and a posi rear end. I will beef up the front suspension and change to a 4 bar (5 bar) rear suspension. Disk breaks in front, Maybe drums in back. Box frame, looks like I will have to change the steering column to handle headers.

My uncle has a 36 pick-up that he put a 3.0L Turbo Nissan in ..... despite all of my protests!! A friend and I did the wiring, a nightmare! Turned out nice just wish he's gone the 5.0L HO route. You going fuel injected? Wiring should be simple for that one. You need a 5.0L HO?

I am going to put a carb (630-650) on the 5.0. I want it to look clean and I like the feel and sound of secondaries, probably from my 14 years with a Cleveland. I have the motor, heads, carb intake, roller lifters and 1.7:1 RR's. Need the distributor, carb and think I will put in the Steeda 18 cam. They said it will work with stock pistons and 1.7RR's.
