what lift do I have and need??

Just bought an 02 Ex. I wanted a leveling kit. Just looked underneath and it has 2" blocks in the back. I can't tell if the shackles are original.

Stock rims with 285/75-16 BFGs: 7" clearance up front and 9" in rear. So did someone put a 2" lift on it?

Or do the 4x4 come standard with blocks in rear?

Can I still get a 2" leveling kit up front or do I need the Fabtech 3.5" front lift?

I'll try to post pics tonight.

Yes, they come with blocks in the rear.

Since you ask this question, I assume you have a 4x4, and not a 2-wheel drive truck, correct?

Please list the specs on your truck so we can answer your questions.

Size and type of engine, 2-wheel or 4-wheel (although I believe its safe to assume its 4-wheel), etc.

Ok. It's a 2002 Excursion 4x4 with 7.3l diesel. 68k miles. Metallic gray. Limited. It has a Superchip tuner. Everything else looks stock.

If it's standard height, it should measure about 24" from the center of the rear hub to the highest edge of the fender lip (that measurement is valid regardless of wheel size).

It measures 24". So I guess the 2" shackle-hanger lift will work up front to level it.

Will it be difficult to align at that point? Should I get the Fabtech adjustable track bar too?

Thanks for the help.

EDIT TO ADD: That 24" measurement is for the 4WD model.
