Thanks for the great info

I started checking this site when I was in the market for a Super Duty pickup, but the classified section is quite small compared to the amount of active members here.

Anyway, seemed a comparable F250/F350 crewcab was going to be more than the Excursion, I got an '00 Excursion instead. As I'm newbie to Ford (never had one til now), I was very interested to learn as much as I can about the vehicle and about the V10.

Thus far, I learned how to center the steering wheel (took 2 full turns on the tie rod sleeve...not sure the name?), and also adjusted the steering wheel play as well. Looking at modifying the Y-pipe or maybe just do a dual exhaust as next project.

This Excursion I bought was heavily modified, lifted 4x4, so I'll have to take my time to learn all the ins/out and look forward in reading more tech and hopefully contributing to the forum in the future.

BTW adding dual exhaust may not help the performance much, the Y-pipe will help more, but hay that's up to you.
