would like ot keep them but if its better to go mechanical then thats what ill do and i no carbs have there own problems there jsut a lot easier to work on and i can get a 650 cfm holley for free
I'm guessing your truck has a frame mounted high pressure pump. You could just install a low pressure one. If it's an intank deal you can lower the pressure a couple different ways. RB
yeah it has a high pressure frame mounted pump and 2 low pressures pumps on in each tank ok i know ill need a different intake but is that all ill need or will there be more then that
any questions just pm me you will be SOOOO much more happy with a carb swap than the crappy fuel injection on these trucks and you can run as big of a cam as you want
it's easier to use a bypass regulator than mess with your fuel pumps
im pretty sure the truck allready has a rv cam in it but dont no i no its the orignal motor in the truck and it only has 89xxx on it so im not gonna mess with it to much
in my opinion rv cams are a waste of money since they are really low lift low duration.
you would be REALLY happy with that motor if you stuck a medium sized cam and headers on it along with an intake manifold and a 750 vac. secondary holley
that's basically what i have done to my 5.0 but i have a big cam ported heads portmatched to an edelbrock rpm air gap intake manifold with a little holley 570 vac. secondary sitting ontop, my carb is way too small but i can't justify shelling out the money for a new one
the main reason i like the rv cam is for the torque and ive got headers on the truck and a set of 40 series flowmasters turn downed undre the cab with 3 inch exhaust
allrighty u lost me on that one im more of a bike and atv guy ive got like hundred foot of steel braided 3/8s fuel line and fittings and what if i jsut got a adjustable fuel pump would i still need the regulators
