Rear Sway Bar

I have a 2004 2WD Excursion with the V10 Engine. Does this vehicle have a rear sway bar? If yes, where is it located? All I can see is the shock mounts on the axle housing.

It would be located on the front of the rear axle. Sounds like you don't have one.

Most of us have to add one. The one most mentioned is the Helwig. I got mine from JC Whitney. Easy Install and made a positive difference in the way my X handled.

I just ordered mine this morning from JC. this morning for my '00 X. Also took advantage of the Bilstein (stockwarehouse) dealthis morning $204 delivered for all 4 !

X2, it`s one of the first mods that I feel should be done to any X without one.

Thanks for the info guys --- I called JCW and asked if they would match the price and their answer was 'sorry we can't' ... I asked her to reroute the package back to JCW and I would not be purchasing it through them - I have to say they were very understanding and the rep even said she would do the same thing herself.

I then ordered it through carparts and saved $50 bucks

...

So 4 Bilsteins and a Helwig rear sway bar came out to $350 delivered to my door ! FTE rules

(course that was a WHILE back

U got it !

I was surprised JC didn't match it as well... nonetheless they were extremely friendly and definitly impressed with their customer service - even when not purchasing from them ...
