4.9trans to a 5.0
i,ve got a 95 f-150 and a 88 f-250 with a shot trannsmission both are standard and i was wondering of the 95 trans will bolt up to the 88 motor and if i will have to swap transfer cases,

The answer is yes the 300, 302, and 351W all have the same bellhousing pattern. And the 88 should have the ZF-5 but I'm not sure which model yours should have, that part really doesn't matter cuz all of the ZF-5's have same housing.
You may have to swap the driveshaft from the 95 to the 88, but I don't think so.

Another thing I just though of, I think the ZF 5 has an external slave cylinder, and I know the M5OD has an internal slave cylinder.
But the swap will work but you may have to swap a few tid bits of pieces from the donor truck to your 88.
But one slight problem is the M5OD is much weaker than the ZF5, so be weary of heavy hauling or pulling.
