Blown trans... with 10k on it!!!!

Well here i am again... with some thing else broke. whats new? the transmission i have is now shot. slipping clutch packs im guessing. this thing only has 10k from the rebuild.. insane. the chip wasnt even in it after the rebuild till yesterday.. and is also when i burnt it up! wow having the right tunes from jody.. all i can say is wow. i had to laugh even after the truck wouldnt move cuz it made that thing an animal!

Ive had so many engine problems all of which i have addresed and fixed. NOW the trans again! i thought it would last! a ratty shop did the install and im sure didnt get the cooler clean.. Veryy ratty shop but i was in a bind.

Well now for the good news. im not just dumping the truck like my consous has told me to do so many times... im slapping more money at it. sound firmiliar guys?

I wanna go with a SOLID tans and have heard of a few here. i like the sound of BTS and will be ordering today most likly, so what do you guys think BTS?? BD? JW? im located in MN.

Are these BTS trans really the last one you will put in? well feels a little better to vent but damn this truck is a money pit.....im doing it today tho, any sugestions you guys have? ill get the best bts can give me but anything else? slash the big oil pan ive been udumicated!

Next thing. my trans cannot be completely bad but would neeed new clutches heck it may be crud in valve bodys??? if i can just get this one to work for now that would be great!!! its been slipping quite a bit tho... either way its a brand new trans i know the internals were fine the meat heads at the shop prolly didnt fluch cooler is all weither that heated it or plugged it. any ideas?? damn this sucks.

Man, sorry to hear this. When my trans gives me the first sign of slipping, I am heading to Arkansas to get a BTS. I have his VB right no, so the complete trans is next.

Now you know why we recommend the tranny's we do. Might be a little more money up front, but it's cheaper in the long run. As for BTS, I've never heard anyone complain about his tranny.

The DP won't make enough power to hurt that tranny. Brian's (BTS) son actually blew apart his motor without hurting his tranny if that gives you an idea of what they can withstand. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...ece-motor.html

Asa Give Brian a call at BTS and tell him whats going on he will help you on the phone if he can. He talked me through troubleshooting the high temp problem I was having. Great customer service.

If you look in the March edition of Diesel Power Magazine the 7.3 diesel dragster the worlds quickest powerstroke pg115 has a BTS Transmission in it. I am sure its made with much stronger parts but if you tell him what you need it for he will take care of that.

There is a good diesel shop in Blaine that I had install my exhaust. I will try to find there card and send you a PM.

Is this truck cursed? i swear by it but WTF. starting to like the quote in your sig smokin... prolly need to change mine to somingthing similar the way i feel.

Don't give up hope. Get a BTS like the guys suggest you shouldn't need another tranny. As far as the rest of the items goes...your truck was just as that mileage point where it needed things replaced.

These trucks CAN be very reliable vehicles. In the 4 or so years I have had mine its been a great truck, just a few maintenance items here and there. With exception of some major fuel gelling and a bad sensor a few weeks ago, I've never had any real problems with mine.

Look at it this way - pretty soon you'll have a brand new truck.

Put the trans in the back of another truck, go down there and watch Brian rebuild it. It would be nice if you could make the trip in your truck tho.
