Is there a link on here for tightening my steering?
The truck is coming along. I'm making good progress making these minor repairs and now am interested in some of the fine tuning. I replaced the original steering box in my 55 F100 with a F600. Same set-up but a lot beefier. Steers much easier. But as before, I have about 3-4" play. I read once where there are gaskets or shims I can add. Any help?
Are you sure the play is in the steering box? On my panel most of the slop was in the drag link/ pitman arm. rebuilt drag link and replaced the pitman arm, all is good again.

I saw someone is selling replacement pitman arm *****! I don't remember who, but if anyone needs to know, I'll search for them.
The procedure for tightening up the steering gear lash is also in the owners manual maintenance section.
It's simple: Loosen the locking nut, turn the adjusting screw in until it contacts, then back 1/8 turn. Check to see if it rubs and if so back it off a little more. Then tighten the locking nut!
