Loss of engine power
Searched, but no quick answers that match.
1995 302 auto. When pulling hard (1/2 throttle or more up hill / into traffic) it feels like I get to half revs and stop. Sounds like a wounded cow.
I think it's a fuel / air issue - 02 sensor, fuel filter? have dual tanks and it's the same with both so I'm assuming the pump is ok. Just changed the tranny filter and air filter.
Other thoughts? I'm pretty mechanical but the 302 has a so much more emissions crap than my 95 4 liter Jeep.

Just finished the self test... was getting 33 (EGR Valve opening not detected).
Took the sensor apart and cleaned it, test drove, no good.
Took the sensor leads off, test drove it, no good still.
Checked the codes again got 33 and 327 (EVP Circuit below voltage).
There was a bit of carbon on the tip of the positioning rod so I'm assuming that it's dead. I gave it a Seafoam treatment before this happened so I'm assuming that the carbon blowing out of the pistons got sucked back into the EGR valve.
Sound plausible?
