Favorable 2009 F150 Review
Dan Neil is a columnist for the Los Angeles Times. Unlike the typical motojournalist, he has won a Pulitzer Prize (2004) for his automotive writing. Here's his review of the 2009:

This dude is a serious automotive writer! I wouldn't want to be the builder of a piece of crap and have him review it. Hopefully with all the fanfare and positive media that the F-150 is getting these days, Ford in general will earn the confidence that many of us loyalists have had all through the years.
