I have a low mileage (on a rebuild) 351W that I need a fly wheel for?
This would be a low budget swap. The engine had a flex plate in it's prior life. I'm going to install in front of a T19 4 speed.
Should I just find a used fly wheel or can someone recommend a budget source for a new fly wheel (if there is such)? Also engine mounts? Don't need the best available, but don't need junk either.
need more info, what vehicle is this going into. a flywheel should be fairly easy to come by i would think. you need 302/351w frame perches and which ever motor mounts you can afford. napa has them for $10 a piece or par i cant recall or you can spend more going thru JBG for a heavier duty stuff.
You can buy one at a junkyard, but you'll want to get it turned at a machine shop before you use it. Same thing with the engine mounts.
I always get nervous when people try to do things on the cheap. More often than not, you see them back here asking how to fix their truck after their cheap fix destroyed everything it touched.
