Code Data Link

I have a 2000 Navigator, I have connected two different code readers and neither one link to the vehicle to read the codes. The code readers work on other vehicles. Can someone lead me in the right direction?

Check your cigar lighter fuse. The DLC is on the same circuit.

I located the the blown fuse, replaced it and the code reader works. This site is amazing.
