Are there any good sites for people selling used truck tires? I want to put 33s on my 79 Bronco, but can't really afford to spend $500 on new tires (I'll probably need wider rims too). Found a couple of 4x4 classifieds online, but they are outdated and everything is far away from Pennsylvania. Please let me know if you guys know of any current boards that post used truck stuff. Thanks.
Here in SE PA, there are a couple of used tire dealers, this is mostly what they sell and you may have to check back now and again to get what your lookin' for (the larger sizes), most if not all are in the yellow pages. Might be worth the time to see if one is close to you.
I picked up a set of pretty well used 35's at the Carlisle truck show this summer $40/4 with inspectable tread (so that way I at least have a full size spare. You are probaly limited this time of year, but try truck shows for things like that. Bloomsburg always has people selling used rims/tires. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend, and where you're located

Maybe I just don't pay attention. Are these shows usually in the summer? Which Bloomsburg? The one near State College or the one near Pittsburgh? --sean
Bloomsburg is the one near State College and is usually advertised in 4wheel & off-road and a couple of other 4x rags, summer event. For Carlisle, they have a site (Carlisle Fairgrounds) that lists what's going on when and has directions for how to get there. Both have great events and if you've never been, I will say it would be worth the couple hour trip for you just to check them out sometime.
This place sells retreaded mud tires. They have the Dunlop Mud Rover treads on them. Pretty cheap too, but you'll have to pay shipping on them....

1989 F-150- XL, 4x4, 302, M50D, much more to come...
Are the retreads reliable? I've never used them, but I've seen plenty of rubber on the sides of the highways. I'm going to check out the website above, but let me know what you guys think about retreads. The truck is my daily driver for now, but I also take it up in the mountains on the old lease roads (and off) when I hunt.
