Ranger with a Bench Seat...

(See my bench seat Gallery for the photos)

OK, so I have an abundance of Mustang seats laying around from all my Mustang projects, but I have shifted back to working on my pickup. I just scored a new and basically rust free cab and while cleaning the garage, I had a thought: since I planned on going with Mustang seats in the car and doing a Ranger-type package, why not draw it to its logical conclusion and include a Mustang Bench seat? Ford installed these in a few Mustangs and it always draws attention in a Mustang. I think it will look good in an F100, but I want some opinions. From what I have seen of the Rangers, it looks like my bench is about the same overall length as the two buckets end up being. Plus, it is a bit different than a Ranger and a bit different than a standard F100 bench. Being different is not my main goal in life, but I don't like the bouncy bench originally with the truck and so I have been thinking about how I want buckets to look.

If you don't like the "bouncy" bench seat your truck came with, you just might like the Mustang seats, whether bucket or the bench type used on a few '65/66's.

There's only one problem with these Mustang seats. They musta been were designed for small kiddies, and are AS HARD AS A ROCK, with little padding.

Better get one a those 'donuts' to sit on if you have hemorrhoids. And you will soon have them, if you sit on those damn rock hard Mustang seats for any length of time!

My '65 was my first car and I am only in my late 20s. No 'roids either. Might I recommend a "boppy?" My wife used one after the baby. She couldn't sit down without it.
I have never been bothered by Mustang seats, but then again, my sleep number is 85. To each his own...
