Starter?
I have replaced the battery, alternator, voltage regulator, and still have cannot start my 74 F-100 to start-- even if I jump it. I have power for the radio, headlights, fan, etc-- but the starter solenoid just clicks when I turn the key. A local mechanic bypassed the solenoid using a couple of screwdrivers, and it still wouldn't start. Might the starter be shorted out and causing this problem?
Up until yesterday, I could also get the truck to start at least by jumping it-- but not now.

Yep, it could be a bad starter. But first, check very carefully, both battery cables and their connections. Especially the ground connection to the engine. I have replaced many parts in the past, when the problem was just in the cables or connections...
