I'm looking at replacing the fuel lines in my 94 F150 and the big question is what to do with hooking up to the fuel lines coming out of the fuel pump hat and the fuel rails? Ford uses a specialized pressure fitting on it's custom fuel lines. I think there may be some third party fittings that would replace these, but I'm not sure. Has anyone dealt with this issue? I could use a standard hose and cable clamps, but I just don't trust that kind of connection for a fuel line.
No, I'm fabricating the new lines with new steel lines, and I can flare the ends where I need to. I can use some standard connectors between the lines, but when it comes to the ends connecting to the fuel hat, they should have ends with the Ford high pressure fittings. I can find some sold separately online, but I don't see any that are pre-made.
They do have adapters for if you are running steel braided line to convert to AN fittings, but I haven't seen any for steel lines. You might check with Aeroquip or Earls for some fittings. Welcome to Eaton Aeroquip Holley Performance Earls Products
Thanks, I'll do that. I have seen some sites that have products such as Earls and Aeroquip that I might get the job done. Not an impossible task, just one that is requiring a bit more brain power than I really wanted to use. One of these days, I'll end up with a project that really requires no thought at all, but perhaps that would defeat the point of doing it.
