i just sold my 84 f100 an got a 85 in about 100x better shape. anhoe my question is this. the guy i got ti from put two 6x9 an 2 10inch pioneers in it. an a cheap koss cd player. anyhow im looking to make this louder (I dont need a stereo the shake the windows, I listen mainly to country.)without spending a lot of money. any suggestions on what kind of amp i should get?
my friend has a JENSEN 100W x 4 AMPLIFIER, would these be something worth checking out?
Hi
If you are just looking for volume go ahead on your buddies amp ,but consider this ,If you are running a poor source to any amplifier ,the amp will make not only the music louder but any distortion that comes that cheap deck. Also most of the reputable car audio manufacturers have increased the wattage in there head units. This may be a good way for you to get the volume you are looking for ,save some room the amp would have taken up ,cleaner sound and it might be a better investment.
