new radio or speakers?
i've got a decision to make and i can't make it myself, id like to know which i should get to replace my stereo in my truck, a new radio (to replace the audiovox) or either a new pair of Sony X-plode 6 1/2's for the doors.

Don't buy the Sony X-plodes they really suck. Go with a good quality head unit, or save some money to buy some decent speakers. You'll be just as well of to get some factory speakers from a wrecking yard rather than the Sony's they'll sound about the same. Just my 2 cents.

The first thing you should do is to get rid of that deck and replace it with a good quality Stereo. You would be surprised how much better stock speakers can sound when they are getting a good signal. The best speakers in the world will sound like crap if you are sending a low quality signal to them.
