Oil in the valley

I thought so. The rear main seals normally don't go bad.
Most leaks come from the fuel pump, turbo pedestal and the back of the HPOP.
Is it oil or fuel?? this will help determine where it leaking. It could be both.
Start with a cold engine. Remove the cover over the fuel filter housing. And the tin cover over the blue fuel hoses between the filter and fuel pump. Also remove the intake pipe between the turbo and manifolds.
Lots of light will help you see the crud. Clean the valley with lots of solvents, soap ect. Flush it with water. No hi-pressure, just a garden hose. The crud will run out the back of the valley. You may want to lift the front of the truck to help get it all out. Then mop up the extra fluids with shop towels.
Re start the engine and look for the leak.

If it's oil in the valley, check you turbo pedestal (top and bottom) turbo itself, oil gallery plugs in the inside of the heads.

I'm doing good now that I'm home again. Uncle had me tasked on an all exspense paid vacation overseas for awhile. It's nice to be back where it's cool again (98 - 100 degrees here) and everything is not brown; but if your still above ground and sucking air, life is good.
