I was wondering where all of you bought aftermarket tires or wheels. I am personally looking at some 305/65/20 or maybe 18's. The prices around here are pretty expensive as I expected and I see cheaper tires and wheel combos on the internet. Anyone know any good sites or retail stores that have been good to them in terms of service and price.
You can spend huge $$$, or go to Discount Tires, and buy some pretty nice stuff too. they can also order in ANYTHING you want, and get it cheaper than your local goodyear, or michelin dealer...Just a thought.
Also, if you get a flat on a tire you didn't even buy from them, they will fix it for free regardless...

agreed, discount tire rocks. They will also pricematch TireRack if you print out a sheet with the shipping price and everything.
I agree Discount is where I have had the best luck. I bought my wheels, MB Motor wheels and tires from Discount. I bought a set of tires from a sales guy at Discount many many years ago, he gave me such a good deal that I have bought every set of tires and wheels I have bought since then from the same guy. Now whenever I need something he gives me a GREAT deal.
It pays off to get on a name bases with one guy and stick with him.
The last sets I have bought I find the best prices on the internet first. Then make phone calls around town. The will give you a high quote, then you say I was hoping to do my business locally but not at that price. My Moto Metals and ProComp tires they quoted me 2600, online it was 1900. They matched that price and it did cost me sales tax but if something goes wrong you can actually deal with someone in person. It has worked for me so far.
Thanks for the help everyone. Ive been calling around to a few different tire places around here and they are at least willing to go down a little on price but they say Ill want their tires and wheels because of the customer service they can offer down the road. I guess I will keep searching online and in stores and try and find a good deal. I have about a month before my current tires are completely worthless.
mine were worthless about 6 months ago. Its a good thing that cops here on the island don't care about what your wheels look like. Anyway, i am looking for a good place in Florida that i can call and order some tires and rims. I want the bigger than i see offered on the regular discount tire kinda sites. Anyone know of a good shop where i can actually speak with a sales rep who knows his stuff. Don't mind paying slightly more, but i want to speak with a human about them. It's not so easy to send a set of four back to the mainland. Thanks.
I bought mine off an ebay store called.....RIM ZONE.....got an amazing deal with free shipping.... got 4 18 x 9 Motol Metal Chrome 951's w/ 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted balanced and shipped to my door for $1250 I remember correctly....
Very nice people out of NC i beileve called...Placed order over the phone tons of help.....great store...check them out..
