Question 73 F-100 & Holley 4412

To begin... I have no clue about carb. terminology/technology. I don't even really know the right question to ask (which makes using Google/searching a little difficult)...

I have a 1973 F-100 w/360 V8. I have a Holley 4412 w/electronic choke. I've had this carb tuned by the local carb. shop (Stan The Man... he is the only guy in town I know about)...

You have to press the pedal once to get fuel into the carb and then it turns over quite fine. The problem occurs after you press the gas pedal for the first time after the engine is running. After you let your foot off the gas (even if still in park) the truck dies. Other times this manifests itself... I go to stop light and let foot all the way off the gas pedal and the truck dies... I am idling up to a stop light and still coasting and it dies...

What do I need to do to resolve this? Already took a look at the instructions ( http://www.holley.com/data/Products/...199R7950-7.pdf ).

I'd really like to stop having to ride the gas pedal to keep the truck running... it uses enough fuel as it is...

Thanks,

JLS

That's tricky, it could be a vacumm leak, curb idle screw too far out, idle mixture screws too far in or the float too high causing it to flood out.
