LSD Rear End Service Positive Experience

Just thought I'd share a positive service experience. On my 03 Expedition I've had the clutch packs replaced twice (35k and 60k). The first time was when Ford was sending complete assemblies, the second time was just the rebuild kit. I'm nearing the end of my 5 yr / 100k warranty and had a slight grinding every now and then, depending on the type of turn and terrain. I changed the fluid and added modifier. No change in the grinding, so I brought it in for a look see, prepared for a three day ordeal. The tech went out for a ride with me and wound up having me do a few donuts in both directions in a parking lot. Problem solved. He suggested that from time to time making a few figure 8's in a parking lot will burnish the clutches and help them slip a bit. He also suggested a second bottle of modifier - they always use two per change as opposed to the suggested one.
In any event, free advice and no ordeal.

Whoops, my free advice was $46 for a half hours worth of driving around. Should have checked the bill closer, it was buried in with some other things. Still better than the ordeal would have been, and now I've shared $46 worth of advice that someone can now have for free.
