any one in sacramento area that knows this carb stuff?
my 66 has a 90's roller 302 in it (yes i veriffied that it has a steel gear on the dizzy) and a 600cfm(?) holley. the holley took a crap on me, and we adjusted everything we knew to adjust. i bought a new 600 cfm holley and now i just don't know how(and am not comfertable) adjusting it my self. i was able to adjust the idle up enough for it to keep running while in drive. but i need it adjusted properly.
i miss my 65 that started every time i turned the key(no help from the peddle needed) and ran like a raped ape!
is there any sac area folks that could give me a hand(and possiblly show me the non fuel injected side?)?
Get a vac guage on it, if your mixture is that far off ok, but my guess is you got a loose vac line somewhere. (Base of the carb, brake line, other lines, back of the intake.. start looking if the gauge tells it to be the case.)
