Class 3 hitch

Quick question, will a class 3 hitch off a 2003 fit on my 2001?

I looked around and since '03 and up have bult in hitches, I can't find cross reference. Called a local Drawtite dealer then the Ford dealer and they didnt know either. Sorry, not much help.

Not a problem...the guy had a 2" reciever and ball for sale not the hitch itself. I'm not sure if I read the ad wrong or not but I already have the reciever from my Lighting...oh well maybe next time!

The receiver is usually the hitch itself and the draw bar is what the ball mounts to and goes into the receiver.

I don't think that the hitch from the 03 will work on your truck though. Usually you can find them cheap in the junkyards as a LOT of expeditions have hitches on them.
