Rear Liftgate Noise
Is it common for Expy's to have a lot of noise coming from the back of the vehicle, kind of sounds to me like its coming from the rear lifegate. Is there anyways to fix the noise, or is it just normal.

Funny I just noticed this on my '03. At first I though it was the dreaded rear blend door, but after pushing on the gate a few times I could replicate the noise.
I adjusted the little hexigon bumbers out but it made no difference. I have not had a chance to try anything else. I might put new foam bumpers on the rear glass to see if that helps..

Adjusting the rubber bumpers won't help, move them back. Those are there just to take some of the shock when the gate is slammed shut. You have to adjust the latch catch piece at the bottom center of the hatch opening. Loosen the tork screws and slide the catch forward 1/8" at a time, retighten the tork screws, close the hatch and push on it, feeling for movement. If it's still loose, adjust it in another 1/8" until it's nice and snug. All of the doors can be adjusted for wear and flattened weather stripping this way. With the side doors you have to be careful not to adjust the catch up or down. If it's too high you'll strain the latch, if it's too low you'll strain the hinges.
