97 brakes

I have a 97 Expedition. We put new brakes all the way around and a new rotor and caliper on the rear. My brakes are still mushy. If I pump them I can get pressure. SOmeone told us we needed to reset the anti lock brake - is this true, and if so do you know how to do it? Please Help!!!

Try bleeding all four cylinders as air is usually the cause of a mushy pedal.

I've change the brakes on my 98 and never reset the antilock. If you're able to build up pressure by pumping the pedal, then it sounds like trapped air.

It is not unusual for them to feel a bit odd during the break in period but if you are getting pressure when pumping the pedal then it usually means are is trapped somewhere in the lines. Bleed them out first.

I took it to a garage and they said the auto parts store gave us the wrong caliper (for other side) but it went on upside down. Putting correct one on tonight.
