Installed a new A/C Clutch last year but suspect that I may have installed the clutch incorrectly. Possibly stacked a washer or two incorrectly on the wrong side of pulley assembly etc...Here's why. shortly after replacing the A/C clutch which was very loud and why I replaced the unit, I immediately noticed the my air/smog pump was loud and ratchety as if the bearing was shot.
So I replaced the air smog pump with an aftermarket refurb unit. Unit was not completely noise free immediately after installation. Now the Air pump is getting louder and noticably shakey at idle during inspection with hood open.
Serpentine belt is making screecthy noises now also. intermittently but more often than not now.
Could the misalignment of my A/C clutch assembly (just one of two washers width) be causing the air pumps bearings to go out pre-maturely.
It's not a performance issue, but loud and enough to get back in there and fix it. I like my machine's running strong and quiet. Driving me a bit insane.

thanks for confirming.
Looks like it's time to get in there and get that A/C clutch back assembly put back together and aligned properly and replace that air pump again.
