I have a good size scratch on the driverside back door of my crew cab..(ill try and post a pic later) its about 6 inches long, and about 1" at the widest spot...the location of the scratch is in line with the the 'power stroke' badge on the front door.
I was thinking of installing the 'INTERNATIONAL' lettering badge over the scratch so it would be much less noticable, I would install the letters on both of the rear doors to match. What do you guys think, look good or look stupid?? Im not going to repaint the whole door to fix the scratch, so I need something to cover it up.

I think it would look stupid...
Emblems are usually on the front.. Putting something like that on the back doors will draw attention to it more than the scratch..
I would either have it repair right or try puting some side decals/mural and pinstriping along the whole side of the truck to blend it..
You wouldn't have to repaint the whole door, check around for those specialty guys that do the dent and paint chip repairs and see what they recommend. I had a few done on another vehicle and it was pretty amazing since I used to work in a body shop many moons ago.
you could have a decal made that takes up both doors. You could have more than just lettering ie flames, water shooting from a hose that spells out "PowerStrokin-Internationally", a logo, a large Power stroke (with kewl font) with "international" smaller set in and and throughout the powerstroke. The possibilities are limitless and they can show you what they are thinking before it gets printed and cut (on a computer screen).
Find a place that really works with vinyl and has a plotter, printer and a cutter. These are very creative folks usually. Tell them what you are thinking and ask them for ideas. Then give them time to work on the computer. You may be amazed at what you come up with.

+1... it's amazing how far body shop repairs have come in the last decade. Get an estimate and you may be pleasantly surprised!
