Flaring rear fenders on 1938 pickup???

I don't know about that vehicle, but a buddy of mine is in the process of flaring the fenders on his old bronco. His son put some plastic flares on it and didn't like them, so he's set about remaking the fenders, but flared about 2 inches. It's been slow progress, but it's kinda neat. Flaring a set of fenders is a bit of a pain. Widening is sometimes easier, but it depends on how it's done and where the widening takes place. It all depends on the look you're after, I suppose.
