Arrow Re- Calibrate...?

i just gave my 98 3.0 new tires all around. I went from 225/70r16 to 245/70r16, i didn't think it was that much of a difference, however my buddy seems to think I now need to recalibrate my speedometer and Odom-meter. Is this necessary? And if so, what/how do i do this? personally I thought I would only have to recalibrate any gages only if i went up to say 33's or something significantly larger.

According to the calculator on "The Ranger Station" you'll be 2mph off - at 60mph indicated your actual speed will be 62. Just ones man's opinion-I wouldn't worry about it.

You can fix it with an engine programer from bama chips and improve performance and mpg as well. Some times a good ford tech will do it for you, but not often from what I hear. A lot of us on here have the bama programer for performance upgrade, the speedo recalabrate is just a plus, it will also fix the speedo if you change gears. I don't think I would worry about it either for just 2 mph.
