Unhappy blower/air ducts

I have no clue whats going on here but anytime I drive up a hill or get on the gas hard the air stops coming out of the vents and just blows on the windshield as if I turned the switch to defrost....any help or suggestions?

When you "get on the gas" as you say the manifold vacuam decreases, and there will not be enough to hold the heater plenum flap in place, it defaults to defrost(safety issue)

Check your manifold Vacuam, should be steady between 18/21 inches at idle.
