Well, the quation is how to separate fuel sender lines and pull it out. Did it many times with aerostar, but I'm not sure how to do it with '01 ranger (4.0SOHC). I dont want to damage something...
Pablo, I've not had to remove a fuel pump, so I can't answer your question.
Maybe one of the guys that has done this on a more recent model will chime in with an answer, or perhaps someone on one of the fuel system forums would have the specific information you need.
Then again maybe the European Ranger has different fittings to the fuel pump, maybe Din fittings or such, that aren't used in the USA.
The manual I have for my 99, doesn't list anything unusual for the fuel lines.
Just a different locking ring, for the fuel pump on the "Super Cab" body style.
just did a pump on my '03 4.0 and, if yours are the same, just use something like a flat screwdriver to press in on the plastic spring-loaded retainer while keeping a little pull on the line. When finished, just push back on and give a tug to be sure they are caught.
