<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">Assuming this is a carb problem? I think I have my truck running fairly decent now with new plugs, wires, points, timing set @ 10 degrees advanced. My only problem is at low RPM (1000-1500) when I give it gas it gives one little sputter or miss then it goes. Also this is just giving it a bit of gas (normal driving) not gunning it to the floor or anything. I am assuming that this is my carb acting up? Or could this be a vacuum leak? Or any other ideas?
When I had my 90 mazda, to clean the carb. I would start her up, get her warm. Then take a bottle of carb cleaner, and pour it down the carb. keep the idle up high, because she'll want to stall out. Make sure the wind is blowing from the front of the truck, because the smoke out the back is pretty noxious. It will clean all the crap outta the carb tho.
