They do look sweet in the photos, but I'd have to see them illuminated in person before I spend $300 on a set. Those round dot lights at the bottom of the page look nice in the picture, but they look cheap and misfit in person.
I remember there was a company before that made those Altezza type lights for an Ex. Bear in mind that with a gasket swap..Econoline tail lights fit Exs.
For some reason, the $300 price moves them down to the bottom of my prioity list right now. Somebody needs to contact the company and see about a group purchase discount. Get a quote on 25 sets, 50 sets, and 100 sets. If the 100 set quote is $200 or less, I would buy a set right now. And I bet a lot of other people here would too. Anybody have the time and energy to contact the company?

I don't know who made the Altezza-style lights that I saw in person but they looked exactly like the ones at the bottom of that page and they were of really poor quality.
For a while I was running the older, tri-color Econoline taillights on My Ex. They seemed to fit fine without a gasket swap
I'd like to do the tri-color Econoline lights with LEDs in them. I think that would look really sharp on a Black Ex.
mohrds.....I have the amber turn signal Econoline lights in my Ex...and the gasket was different but I frankly don't remember how. I seem to remember being advised of that and swapped the gaskets during my install...but that was a couple years ago.
I think the 3 color tails are the coolest tail lights for the Ex. I wired 'em to work too...great visibility too!

I've retrofitted custom LEDs in other cars and I've learned quite a lot about them.
There are really good (but expensive) ways to do it and really cheap ways to do it. I worry about the pre-made ones because I fear they may be done cheap.
The only reason I haven't gutted the Ex's taillights to install my own LED panels is that I don't have the equipment to work with flexible circuit boards that the Ex would need because of the wrap-around style. Other than that, it would be a simple rectangular design, not too much design trouble.

Hmm. Mine seemed to fit fine with the Econoline gaskets. Now I'm curious about the difference in gaskets.
Did you remove the brake light feed at the turn signal stalk and feed the rear brake lights from the CHMSL? If so, did you see a higher load on the CHMSL circuit?
mohrds...I cut the green wire on top of the column, and used a tap from the CHMSL for the "new" stop light circuit. I'm sure the load went up a bit...but has yet to prove a problem. Lights are still bright.
The only problem in cutting the green wire was that the trailer lights got screwed up. I was assured this would not be a problem, but it was. I wound up installing a Hoppy part for vehicles with separate turn signals/brake lights ahead of the trailer light relays to remedy this.
Maybe what I was told about the gaskets was BS...but I swapped mine.

I wonder if that electrical issue is specific to the 2004-05 models. I have a 2000 and cutting the brake wire had no effect on the trailer harness.
Boy, did I learn a lot from this website. www.superbrightleds.com Check it out. Did you know a RED lens is BRIGHTER when use use a RED LED bulb rather than a WHITE LED? I didn't, but at 50 something I'm still learning stuff EVERYDAY.
