Do what, Warranty, your a lucky man?? I got something from Ford in the mail saying do not install a aftermarket program in the 08's oer they would void our warranty. I was told by a local Ford tech that the 08's have a seperate computer box to store data on that can't be erased, Is this true?

I would go with SCT, they have great tunes.

There is no "seperate computer box", the '08 6.4 uses flash memory in the PCM to store things like fault codes and number of drive cycles and regens now instead of using keep alive memory as in previous years which is cleared by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. But don't get scared, the flash memory can still be cleared using the right equipment.

I"ll show this to my local Ford tech, He said he went to a class taught by a factory expert on the 08 Superduty and told me whay t I wrtote. maybe he was misinformed. Please PM me with what is the right equipment and I'll put in a SCT chip, like yesterday. My local Ford dealer techs don't care what I do, they just can't help me if Ford Corproate gets involved. He told me he wast told to send the computer with any engine warranty claims.
