03 Exp heated/cooled seats no power to switches
I replaced the switch (passenger side), checked and then replaced the fuses - still no power to the switch.
The drivers side works fine (much to the chagrin of my passengers). If I figure something out, I'll post.
Just a thought: If there is a heating element with a fan, maybe the heating element is out or fuse is out and the fan is on and cooling the seat. HMMM.... I will check it out and post.

'04 Expy EB 2wd - no lights to seat switches, no heat or cool from the seats.
This started after a dead (very weak) battery attempted start, then attempted start on a battery charger.
They were working earlier that day.
I've searched and read through the other posts but they all (as this one did) seem to end before a solution is identified.
Anyone see this through to resolution?
I've tried to reset the computer thinking the low voltage attempted start may have told the system to prevent this circuit. I've checked the fuses and both are ok.
I've got an appointment at a local shop to read for any error codes in the morning but was hoping someone here had the answer.
Thanks guys!

Mine are still not fixed... even the dealership was not sure - they kept talking about heating wires and breaks etc... When I told them there was no such thing on my 03 EB - they wanted to agrue with me about. I figured it was not worth my time to take it in!
They also told me taking the seat apart was a HUGE issue (hog rings and all). My seat does not have them!
I just did not see the point of having my vehicle worked on by a shop who wanted to agrue about how one it's own products was put together!
Right, bad attitude equals a heated/cooled seat that still does not work.
Good luck.

I think this one will be a slowly researched problem as you mentioned.
If I find any answers I'll post 'em up.
Here's what I found out from a Ford service guy out of CA that is on the land cruiser forum I'm on:
"OK...........if you still need the info(I didn't realize it's been a week)...............my guy sez that your seat heater control modules will need to be reset with the NGS(scanner)(if you know someone with a shop it's the same for all OBD-II vehicles)
and there is the possibility that if a module sees below 8 volts it's fried..............."
I called around and not many shops in my area with this scanner. Some have it but aren't willing to just reset the module as I was asking for without charging their standard analysis fee as well to confirm the issue first. Explained that it was my risk but they still wouldn't agree to it.
Long story short, I have an appointment at Ford in the morning with the 'scanner' guru. They agreed to let me come in specifically for resetting this module.
Hoping mine just needs to be reset and it's not fried, but I'll know by tomorrow morning.
Only took 25 minutes and less than $100 at the dealership!
I want to be clear on my symptoms, 2004 Expedition EB, battery died and I attempted to charge for a brief period and then use the 'car start' option on my battery charger. After that attempt both seat heater/cooler switches were out, no lights to either switch, no heat or cool to either seat. All fuses for the seats checked out ok but they would not come on like there was no power to the switches.
The dealership used the NGS scan tool and confirmed there was an error code on the seat climate control modules, which they reprogrammed. Drove the 45 minutes home from my closest Ford dealer this morning switching both front seats back and forth between heat and cool and they worked great!
For those do it yourselfers out there like me, I searched and the NGS scanner is available but is roughly $2500 so it's beyond my funding for garage tools. I also tried all the tricks I could find on the web to have the system self reset. (remove battery for an hour, touch negative and positive battery cables together [after removing of course], turn key on and off a number of times, etc.) All stuff I knew was 99% destined not to work but I'm a trial and error junkie.
End of a long story is the fix for mine was a simple one but required a fancy tool to repair.
Hope this helps others this summer, cheek chillers are just nice in 95+ degree weather.

This also worked for me. A friend who works in Ford service dept. had me come by today and he was able to reset my seats. Worked like a charm. Took 30 min. and most of that was waiting on the laptop and software to boot up. So this is the way to go if your buttons for heat and ac are not lighting up and you have had a dead battery/jump etc.
