98 expedition XLT 4.6

My 98 XLT 4.6 EXP climate control unit below the radio the lights are out.
do the blubs need to be replace or is it a short in a wire???

I'm sorry but that's a strange question. How would anyone be able to tell from here?

You'll have open the dash and at least dig a bit before we could assist. Did you check the fuses?
