I guess it is way too early to say for sure whether he was right or wrong. I hope for his sake though it was a case of the kid trying to steal. I'd hate to think that I killed someone that had been trying to get cars to sell. Would wonder if the guy panicked a little since he had been stolen from before.

It was only a matter of time before someone got shot without actually breaking into a dwelling........................ at least, that's the way it looks from the news account. It is possible that the dead man may have really been there to steal something.

Soon, the road ragers will be opening fire on each other with impunity. They're protecting their property rights to unrestricted access to the road.

It probably won't take long for this one to make it to civil court, with damages into the millions.

Bottom line: best to call before you go walking into someone's yard unannounced, even if you just want to ask him about "buying some cars."

Now we can fire up the speculation machine. :shrug shoulders:
