I just picked up a very old fifth wheel, it is iron and has the name dayton cast into it, also if a fifth wheel could be called pretty this one is very attractive it almost looks like a butterfly. I have been unable to find any info on a dayton brand fifth wheel however. Does anyone on theis forum know when they went out of buisness?
Hi. Just joined after noticing your search for information as well.
I own a Mack B61 which has a Dayton Muncie turntable (that's what we call them) and again, I've searched for any info and can not find any.
They are certainly few and far between.
If you have found any info, it would be appreciated.
Regards from DownUnder. Rod.
Hi F6Guy,
I believe my Dayton 5th wheel is missing a safety bracket that locks the release lever in position.
I would really like a photo of the area around your lever, if at all possible.
