Home Brewed Bio-Diesel

Has anyone tried to make their own fuel from used cooking oiland used it? Check out www.freedomfuelamerica.com. They have the whole kit to process your own bio-diesel. Give feedback if you know anyone doing it.

Thanks,
Bennie C.

trucks did a whole show one it. It doesnt look that hard or costly. i would think the biggest problem would be the steady supply of oil.

Yeah I saw that one. I live in Elk Grove CA so I think used vegie oil supply would not be a problem. There are so many fast food restaurant here. I check into it and see what they do with their used oil.

Looks like you would need an initial $3,500 to $4,000 in equipment and supplies to get started. Could pay off big time if you could get enough vegtable oil to produce 40 gallons once or twice a week.
