Aux. plow light questions...F350

I just picked up my new '04 F350 with a western plow. It had some cheap auxilary lights mounted to the back bumper (which the dealer removed before I got it)........

My question is; is there some kind of light setup that would allow me to plug a light into the 4/7 pin trailer connection that has a light mounted to the reciever hitch? I don't want to add lights to the bumper, and was thinking this setup would be easy to remove when I'm not plowing.

Also I see different strobe light colors used for plowing (amber, green, blue) and was wondering if 1 color is better (more visible) that the rest. In my neck of the woods I see mostly blue ones, maybe it's the only color allowed for plowing up here..

Where are you located? Are you subbing for someone else? or do you have your own accounts?

Whitenight makes a reverse light that plugs into the trailer wiring and has bright lights that work really well. No real installation involved.

As for your strobe colors, it depends on where your located, most if not all of the US requires you to use amber only. Canada you use blue for snow plowing.

I'm in Canada, and just starting out (since I got the truck with a plow..I thought I would have to wait and buy the plow later) and will be plowing family and friends driveways...

The whitenight lights are exactly what I'm looking for.......just need to find someone in Ontario who sells them.

Congrats on the new truck (and plow) Ken. Here in Ontario we use Blue strobes for plowing. They have been talking about changing them to amber (like EVERYONE else in the world) but it is still blue for now.

I am not sure about the lights for the back. I know I will be adding some lights to the back bumper that will be on a switch for better visibility behind me when plowing.

Oh, be sure to click FORUMS at the top left then scroll WAYYYYYY down to the bottom and join us in the Ontario Chapter. Enjoy the site.

Then blue is the color youll need. Im not sure how your rules are up there but if you are just doing a few driveways then I doubt youll really need to worry about strobes. If your going to plow professionally then I would get the strobes.
