Well Rich, I guess I'll be first. There are several companys that sell kits to adapt the 302 Ford to older Ford trucks. My favorite is called Chassis Engineering. They sell adapters that bolt to the frame of your truck with the cushion for your engine for a little over $100 bucks. You can check them out on line and you can order a catalog. They also sell weld on adapters if you want to go that way. They also have a wishbone trans kit for a c4. There is a great drawing of your Chassis that shows how it goes together in their catalog. Check it out.

Thank you very much ,I will check with them.Everyone else says to go with a chevy cause it is less work.But I would really like to keep it a Ford.
I just blew a rod in the flathead so I will be selling some parts soon.I have changed the rear end with a kit fron chassis Engineering so I have a 38 banjo rear end with 39 backing plates on it for sale now.Thank you again
