I %^&*ed up and left my wrench on the dampner bolt (harmonic balancer) and started the truck. Well it backed the bolt out all the way and leaked some oil. I had the engine running for about 30-45 seconds before I noticed and shut her down. I torqued the bolt back in and was wondering if it will be OK? Not too sure if I need to have it balanced or replace the seal?? Thanks
If it is not leaking I would thonk it would be ok.Was it just the bolt that came out or did the balancer come loose with it.If the balancer stayd on I'd say no harm no foul.
Hey sounds like an interesting work session on the truck Dont feel bad i have a buddy that works at a local ford dealership here in town, and they got a 6.0 in there shop, that had just been installed in colorado, that had 2" of screwdriver left inside the #2 hole. I dont know if any of you know what a screwdriver can do to a piston or cylinder wall, but i am staying the hell out of colorado
