Fleet Color
46 Ford Truck
Just returned home this week from a trip to the Western Prairies. Got to thinking about a topic we had discussed awhile back on the color of your 46. as I mentioned I thought it was a Fleet Color.
Well while travelling through Kansas, I saw what I believe was the original Color of your 46.
It was on the Roads Works Trucks, kind of an Orange Color, so in case you wanted to maybe get in touch with them, might be a good start.
Anyway just thought I would make mention of it to you.

Jack, thanks for the tip. I haven't really thought much more the color on my '47. I still need to research that a bit, see if I can ever find out what Montana highway trucks were painted. Our road crew trucks here in Cal are painted Orange as well, I think it's called CalTrans Orange, but it's a little darker than my truck. Still, very good info. Thanks again.
