Need info on 1966 5 speed trans
I am looking at purchasing a old truck for the 5 speed transmission if I can swap it in my 1966 f100 4x4. The trucks trans code is "L". Is this a clarke 5 speed?

if its a big truck then it indeed does appear to be a Clark unit...theres a tag on the RH side of the trans on the PTO cover which resembles an engine tag in size and shape. It was used on F,C, N and T series with 330,361 and 330 Diesel from 500 thru 700 series with a few exceptions...would it fit in your 4X4...I doubt it, but Im not too familiar with the big truck engines.
