Question 87 f150 sluggish

I have an 87 f150 302 5.0 that is very sluggish off the line without a load and idles poorly. Sometimes it feels like it's going to stall and sometimes will. I am thinking fuel pressure or the fuel pressure regulator but am such a beginner and may be barking up the wrong tree! Here's what I did trying to help the idle or just general maintenance:

changed oil
changed fuel filter
changed plugs, wires, dist cap
changed air filter
cleaned IAC

Any suggestions on what to try next would be helpful. I tried to do the simple things first to rule those out but seem to still have the issues. Help!

Could be Throttle Position Sensor or EGR Pipe that connects to the exhaust. I have ran into both of these problems.

Your IAC may be bad. Unplug it while running--it should die--if not it's bad.
