when igo to take off from a stop it feels like something is slips or is loose. the u joints are good no noise there. i was wondering if its in the rear diff?
It could be, but also could be your tranny is slipping if you have an auto. The rear diff doesn't go out every often without alot of abuse, but not impossable.
What year truck, motor, etc. Do you tow or do burnouts alot! My manual says to change rear end lube every oil change!! OOPS I didn't notice that for awhile!!
Have you changed tranny fluid lately? Maybe I am crazy or whatever but I pull out about a half a quart of tranny fluid every oil change and refill with fresh mercon v!
I love my mity vac pump I have a hose I only use for pulling tranny fluid and put it down the dipstick with a stopper so its as long as the dipstick (I don't want to lose it in there!) The vac pump also works great for changing the rear end oil not to mention bleeding brakes, power steering fluid. I picked mine up at a yard sale for 4 bucks!
